UKZN students join together to fight blood cancer

UKZN in partnership with DKMS Africa share a social responsibility to educate and create awareness about blood stem cell donation to help the fight against blood disorders such as leukaemia, aplastic anaemia and sickle cell disease amongst others, through the recruitment of blood stem cell donors and maintenance of a registry of potential committed to helping anyone in need of a life-saving blood stem cell transplant.

Get Axola to university by becoming a blood stem cell donor

Axola, an 18-year-old diagnosed with severe aplastic anaemia, needs a life-saving stem cell transplant in order to realize his dream of studying journalism next year.
