Described as a bright spark who loves baking, the mother, Emily shared that her worries started in October 2024 when the bubbly boy started to get constantly tired, short of breath, and couldn’t eat. His family took him to Chris Hani Academic Hospital, and that is where they received his diagnosis.
Since that day, Phenyo’s bright reality has turned into hospital beds.
So far, no match has been found and time is not on his side. His mom, Emily, added if there’s one thing she wants more than anything, is to see Phenyo grow.
“With everything we’ve been through, I still believe there are kind people out there,” she says. “People who will see my child not just as another story, but as a little boy who deserves a chance. Please, if you’re reading this; register. Even if it’s not for Phenyo, it could be for another child waiting,” said Emily.
