This World Blood Cancer Day, cricket captain Temba Bavuma and the DP World Lions have teamed up with DKMS Africa to spotlight 14-year-old Iminathi’s search for a stem cell donor and to remind South Africans that registering as a donor could mean the difference between life and loss.

“Athletes must rally behind patients diagnosed with blood cancer and disorders”, said RCS Gugulethu Athletics Club Chairperson, Aubrey Shoko.

Since the Blood Stem Cell Donor Day initiative was launched, DKMS Africa has collaborated with organizations spanning various industries which has contributed to diversifying the donor registration pool.
